Project GRADUATION
What is Project Graduation and How You Can Help Support It?

Dear Friends of Saguaro:

Project Graduation is a celebration provided each year by parents and community businesses for Saguaro High School’s graduating seniors. Our goal is to provide a safe celebration in an environment free from alcohol, drugs and late night driving. Immediately following the commencement ceremony, the students are bussed to a surprise party location. In an effort to include the entire class of nearly 400 seniors, we invite each senior as our guest. The cost that we incur is approximately $100 per student. We work hard to secure donations from our Saguaro families, and we plan supplemental fundraisers to raise additional funds needed for our event, to be held on May 23, 2012.

Over the years, Project Graduation has achieved its goal of keeping our students safe. If you can donate a raffle item, an item to be used in our silent auction fundraiser, or make a cash donation for our event, it will be greatly appreciated. We will recognize your donation in the Saguaro Commencement Program, on our webpage and in our very own Saguaro newsletter, “The Link-Up”. Thank you for your consideration and concern for the safety of our youth. Please fill out the Donation Agreement on the back of this form and turn it in with your tax-deductible donation. For donations valued over $250, we will gladly sign and return your Donation Agreement to be used as your tax-deductible receipt. Feel free to contact us if you have questions concerning a donation.

Sincerely,

2012 Project Graduation Committee

Who Plans the Event?
This memorable event is planned by the Project Graduation Committee, comprised of parent volunteers. The location is kept confidential for safety precautions! We especially need underclassmen parents to work on the Committee, as the senior parents will be busy that night. Join us!

Small Cap How is Project Graduation Funded?
Every year Project Graduation costs about $40,000 (approximately $100 per student). We encourage parents to donate at least $100 by the beginning of their child's senior year (see payment options below). The Committee also solicits donations from the Scottsdale Charros, Saguaro feeder schools, local businesses, etc. We hold fundraisers as necessary to help defray costs but must have your donations to make Project Graduation happen.

Small Cap Payment Options:
You can:

  • Write a check each year (suggested amount: $25 each year for 4 years) or
  • Write one check now for all four years (suggested amount: $100) or
  • Pay Online GO

Please make your check payable to "Saguaro High School Project Graduation".

Please include your student's name, ID, and year of graduation on the memo.

Mail or deliver your check to us at:

    Saguaro High School
    Project Graduation
    6250 N 82nd Street
    Scottsdale, AZ 85250

If you have questions about your donation, please e-mail Project Graduation Treasurer, Suzanne Miller at skamiller@cox.net.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! We cannot make this night happen without your support!
