NEW CIRCULATION
PLAN
Last year, approximately $6000 was spent
to copy and mail the Link-Up Newletter to our Saguaro
Families. This was roughly 45% of the $13,400 we receive
in membership donations.
In an effort to
reduce the membership dollars spent on the circulation of the
Link-Up we have developed the following plan:
- The
LinkUp Newsletter will be mailed to all families
once each Semester. The mailings that will go to each
home are scheduled for late September, 2008
and February 2009 ONLY! Monthly calendars will be
provided in each semester mailing. The LinkUp
will be created each month, just not mailed to each home
beginning in October.
- You always can
access the monthly newsletter on this website. Hard
copies also will be left in the Saguaro office. If you want
to continue to receive a mailing by regular mail, please
contact PTO President Doug Johnson at
drjohn7@qwest.net.
If you fill out a
PTO membership form and return it to the Saguaro office, you
can tell us on the form how you want to receive your LinkUp
newsletter.
Please remember: You DO NOT have to
make a monetary donation to become a SaberLinks T.E.A.M.
PTO member, but donations are greatly
appreciated. Your tax-deductible donations help provide
the funds that help our kids and Saguaro High School.
The membership
dollars the SaberLinks saves on the copying and mailing of the
Link-Up will be designated to Projects and
Priorities. We plan to offer membership dollars
for Projects and Priorities in the Fall as well as in the
Spring, during the 2008-2009 school year. For the past
several years, Projects and Priorities was only offered in the
Spring. This year, for the very first time, faculty
and staff will be able to submit a request for help with a
Project that they would like to do in the fall. The money
saved on Link-Up circulation will provide the funds for these
Projects.
As always, our game plan is to make
the 2008–2009 School Year the best ever! Let’s all plan
to work together to achieve more. Think of what we can
achieve with 100% PTO membership! Let’s work together to
make this happen for our kids at Saguaro.
